Josh Morgan talking (again) about his lack of playing time

February 7

It has been well-documented that Josh Morgan is unhappy about the way he was used last season by Coach Mike Shanahan. But it seems like the wide receiver just can’t let it go.

During a charity event on Thursday, Morgan, who is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next month, was asked about his current status with the Redskins. Stop me if you’ve heard this one before.

“I’m not sure about that,” Morgan told CBS Radio’s Chuck Carroll and Comcast SportsNet’s Tarik El-Bashir. “We all know what happened last year with Coach Shanahan and myself and not being able to show my talents. I’m sure when it comes down to the business side of if they’re probably going to say things like, ‘Oh, he didn’t put up the numbers we thought he would’ and things like that. But we all know Coach Shanahan didn’t allow me to put up the numbers out there.”

Morgan also reiterated that he never got an explanation for his lack of field time.

“Never did,” he said. “Don’t even expect one. I’m just hoping that if I’m here, or wherever I am next year, that I’m still playing football and getting the opportunity to show my talents before I get too old.”

It’s a sad tune, but one we’ve heard many times already from Morgan. Someone needs to balance his chakras.
