Someone already has a ‘Mattitude’ jersey

Actually, I’m surprised it took until Feb. 20 for someone to break out a Matt Williams “Mattitude” jersey. Bloggers were running with that slogan from the day Williams was hired. (See here and here.)

Which reminds me of an e-mail I recently received.

In 2012, inspired by the Nats’ magical season and the passing of the Beastie Boys’ Adam Yauch (MCA), a couple of friends and I wrote and recorded a tribute song called, “Natitude”. The track was based on the Beastie’s song, “Gratitude” off of 1992’s Check Your Head. We fully expected the song to go viral but with the Nats’ playoff run ending so abruptly, we think it just got lost in the shuffle. Anyway, I just thought you would enjoy our little labor of love.

Hey, rewrite that thing with “Mattitude,” and give it another shot.
