Lindsay Murphy of Fox 5 decided to use some spring training access to test a few Nats players on their knowledge of baseball lingo. Ian Desmond, Gio Gonzalez and Anthony Rendon were tapped to play, and a few of the slang terms posed a problem for the guys.
Desmond put on his game face and took home the lingo crown. It’s not surprising that 23-year-old Rendon got the fewest answers right. When was the last time you heard “can of corn” used in everyday baseball talk?

GOGGLED BOBBLEHEAD ON THE WAY?
The Nats sent along a note telling us that Tyler Clippard is currently leading the bobblehead votes with more than half of the total votes registered. Adam LaRoche is running a distant second. It must be the goggles. Voting ends today, details on how to vote here.
