MASN trolls Nats fans

Coming out of the commercial break during the middle of the first inning of Orioles broadcasts, the MASN production crew nightly highlights some of the scenic treasures found throughout different parts of ‘Birdland.’

What is Birdland? It’s wherever there are Orioles fans, I suppose. And there are wonderful scenic treasures in all of those places.

Places like Annapolis.

And Brunswick.

And Towson.

And, uh, Washington, D.C.

Look, I’m a firm believer that we should cover the Orioles, because many Washingtonians remain Orioles fans. And I don’t recoil in horror when I see people in downtown District streets wearing Orioles hats, or when bars in my neighborhood put the O’s game on the big screen, or when my pals across the cubicle wall talk about their childhood Memorial Stadium memories.

But I’m not sure that I would quite label the middle of D.C. ‘Birdland.’ Unless MASN also is inclined to suppose that Canton and Hampden and Timonium have been stricken with a bad case of Natitude.
