Wale interviews RGIII after Wizards game

With all the tweets and television shots and amateur photography featuring Robert Griffin III and Wale Thursday night, it was inevitable that someone would get them in front of a microphone at some point.

Or even holding a microphone, as it turned out.

“Did you enjoy the final game of the season tonight?” Wale asked RGIII on behalf of Monumental Network after the clock hit zeroes.

“You know, the Wizards would’ve loved to get a win, but I think this city did a good job coming together to support them throughout this whole playoff run,” Griffin said.

Wale then complained about the officiating and asked Griffin about the Redskins.

“We’ve got a lot of excitement coming,” the quarterback said. “It’s our turn next, and we’re really looking forward to taking advantage of it.”

The duo also apparently acted as hype man for an arena just dying to explode for more than two hours.

Earlier, ESPN showed Griffin and Wale cheering. Wale was apparently eating some sort of frozen ice cream treat at the time.
