Wale says Sen. Harry Reid is using the Redskins ‘to make a bigger name for his self’

With Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) continuing to lead the charge against the Redskins name, local fans have offered some pushback. Among them: rapper Wale.

A week after hanging out with Robert Griffin III at the Wizards-Pacers game, the rapper took to Twitter to criticize Reid’s stance.

(“It would seem to me that it would make a lot of sense that they should get rid of having a group of Americans as mascots. They’re not mascots – they’re human beings,” Reid told Ed O’Keefe this week.)
