Robert Griffin III’s help with a Centreville promposal led to a beautiful night

Morgan Assel, the Centreville High student who solicited Robert Griffin III’s help for a heartwarming promposal last month, appeared to have a great time with her date, Juwaan Espinal, at Saturday’s prom.

Espinal, who has cerebral palsy and is unable to speak, held a sign thanking Morgan, RGIII and Nzingah (sic) before the dance. Nzingha Prescod, a member of the U.S. Fencing team, met Griffin at the White House Easter Egg Roll in April and helped coordinate the promposal after Assel contacted her on Twitter.

Griffin, who has changed his Twitter avatar to a photo from the night he and Assel surprised Espinal with a sign asking him to prom, shared the same photo on Twitter and Instagram with the following caption: “My main man Juwaan having a great time at his prom!!! I told y’all he was a ladies’ man!!!”
