Maryland’s club ice hockey jerseys are awash in state pride

The University of Maryland ice hockey club team unveiled new jerseys for the 2014-15 season and — surprise, surprise — they feature a lot of state pride. The uniforms are made by Rebirth Sports, a Michigan-based custom jersey manufacturer.

The new uniforms have received mostly rave reviews on Twitter and they will be available to purchase … eventually.

Here’s a look at a few different Maryland hockey jerseys from the past two seasons. I’d say the new ones are a nice improvement.

In other recent uniform news, Navy’s new Under Armour soccer jerseys feature Navy and Marine Corps battles, which is pretty cool.
