Mayor Vincent C. Gray (D) has revised his executive order that permits D.C. cabdrivers to add a $1 fuel surcharge to include trips outside the city as well as those within the District’s borders.

Gray’s order, which went into effect Monday, originally applied only to trips within the city’s borders. It expires in late July and was signed to help drivers keep up with rising gas prices, Gray said.
