This year's race for mayor is already known as one in which the candidates' supporters and surrogates have taken center stage as often as Mayor Adrian M. Fenty and Vincent C. Gray have.
But you might not have seen anything yet.
Peaceoholics co-founder Ronald Moten, a strategist and friend of the mayor's, tells D.C. Wire he will debate D.C. Council member Marion Barry (D-Ward 8) on Tuesday night at 10:30 p.m. on Fox 5 news about the mayor's race. Fox 5 has confirmed the time.
If the debate takes place, it very well could be must-see television.
Barry, who supports Gray, said the debate "should be exciting and fun" and that he's not sweating taking on Moten.
"I am going to be making the case about why we need a new mayor," Barry said. "He's going to have a hard time. ... I am representing the views of thousands of disaffected voters."
