Catherine Bego, a 68 year-old minister with Word Evangelistic Church Ministry, said the Fenty write-in campaign was "terrible."
"They tried to squash the Democratic process," he said. "The people had spoken ... to create that level of disturbance in the city was uncalled for."
She said Gray should "live mercy, do justly and walk in humanity."
Bego, who has lived in the neighborhood for 65 years, said she supported both Norton and Wells because "they have tried to serve the people."
She also supports the charter amendment to elect an attorney general.
She said Peter Nickles, "he should have been gone a long time ago. Fenty would have been a much better mayor without him."
Geraldine Breakfield, 56, backed incumbent Council member Tommy Wells over Republican candidate Jim DeMartino.
"He does support education, which is very important to me," she said.
Breakfield added that "we should have the power to choose our attorney general. ... Living in this country and paying taxes, we should be able to select our leaders."
Paulette Ellison, 59, agreed, saying that voting for the attorney general "would be less control by the mayor."
