McKinley Technical, site of an afterschool confrontation Friday between students and police, wasn't the only high school that had problems when Hawk One, the District's school security contractor, went belly up.
Multiple sources report that H.D. Woodson, temporarily housed at the former Fletcher-Johnson Education Center on Benning Rd. SE, was the site of a massive cafeteria food fight that included apples as projectiles. Students also looted the case holding the school's athletic trophies, tossing some of them onto the gymnasium floor.
"It was unbelievable," senior Alonzo Russell told Alan Goldenbach, The Post's high school sports reporter. "There was no security. People just doing whatever they wanted to."
Woodson principal Philip Robey declined to comment.
