Delays on I-95 North, I-66 East

8:30 A.M. Update:

There’s an accident reported on northbound I-295 at the ramp for Malcolm X Avenue in Southeast Washington. Expect delays at this spot.

An accident on 14th and N streets in Northwest could cause headaches there as well.

Delays remain on I-95 North (approaching the Springfield Interchange) and I-66 East (approaching Sudley Road and the Beltway). I-395 North is also backed up around Pentagon City.

I-270 South is moving slowly around Tuckerman Lane, but it’s not standstill traffic or anything.

The outer loop of the Beltway is backed up near River Road.

8:10 A.M. Update:

The accident on eastbound U.S. 50 to the east of Landover Road/MD 202 has been cleared and the lanes reopened.

An accident in the 2300 block of 18th Place in Northeast could cause delays there.

7:40 A.M. Update:

Unsurprisingly, the delays on I-95 North have spread to the Springfield Interchange. There are backups approaching this spot in addition to multiple delays to the south.

I-395 North has some congestion around King Street.

7:25 A.M. Update:

An accident is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders on eastbound U.S. 50 to the east of Landover Road/MD 202.

I-95 North is very slow between Dumfries and Woodbridge right now.

There’s also an accident on 4th Street and New York Avenue in Northeast. It is reportedly involving a dump truck near a work zone, according to the District Department of Transportation.

7 A.M. Update:

There’s an accident on New York and Florida avenues in Northeast Washington. Expect headaches approaching this spot, the second such accident on New York Avenue this morning.

6:45 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is badly backed up approaching Chain Bridge Road.

I-395 North is congested around Duke Street.

6:25 A.M. Update:

The accident on northbound I-95 in Dumfries has been cleared and the lanes reopened, but big delays remain approaching this spot.

6:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on New York Avenue and Kendall Road in Northeast cold cause traffic headaches there.

Good morning, commuters! Today is going to be “simply beautiful,” according to the Capital Weather Gang, so make sure to bask in the sunshine and light breeze when you head out today.

An accident on northbound I-95 at Dumfries Road is blocking the left shoulder and left lane.
