Route 50 East reopens in Arlington

8:30 AM Update

Route 50 East in the Gilberts Corner area of Loudoun County is closed because of an accident involving an overturned truck.

All lanes of Route 50 East are now open in Arlington.

The earlier accident has cleared on I-66 East in Manassas and has moved to the left shoulder.

8 AM Update

An accident is blocking three lanes of I-66 East near Route 234 in Manassas. Only one lane gets by. Traffic backs up for about 2 miles. Expect major delays.

The earlier accident on I-495 North at mile marker 52 has been cleared.

7:30 AM Update

Route 50 East in Arlington has reopened to traffic. However, the right lane is still closed between Pershing Drive and Courthouse Road.

An accident is blocking the right shoulder on I-66 East at mile marker 57 in Fairfax County.

7 AM Update

A disabled vehicle is blocking the right shoulder of I-495 North at mile marker 52 in Fairfax County.

Traffic is backed up for 6 miles on I-95 North at mile marker 162 in Fairfax County.

6:30 AM Update

The southbound lanes of Indian Head Highway have reopened. Two of the northbound lanes are now getting by.

6:15 AM Update

Indian Head Highway in Accokeek is closed between Livingston Road and Farmington Road because of an accident that occurred earlier this morning. Expect delays. Use Route 301 as an alternate route.

Traffic on Route 50 East in Arlington is now being diverted onto Washington Boulevard. Expect major delays if you’re heading to Courthouse, Clarendon, Rosslyn or the District.

Eastbound Route 50 in Arlington is closed near 10th Street due to an accident. Traffic is being diverted at Pershing Drive near Ft. Myer up to the next three hours. Expect delays.
