Northbound Frederick Ave. blocked in Gaithersburg

9:30 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-270 South at Old Georgetown Road is blocking one southbound lane and one of the shoulders.

Northbound Frederick Avenue remains blocked at Montgomery Village Avenue/MD 124 in Gaithersburg by an accident.

An accident is blocking one of I-395’s reversible lanes at Duke Street.

A vehicle fire on eastbound Leesburg Pike/VA 7 at Jarrett Valley Drive is blocking the right lane.

9:10 A.M. Update:

The accident on Frederick Avenue at Montgomery Village Avenue/MD 124 in Gaithersburg is still blocking all northbound lanes. Expect major headaches in this area.

8:50 A.M. Update:

An accident on Frederick Avenue at MD 124 is blocking all northbound lanes. Avoid the area and expect heavy delays.

The accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road has been cleared from the shoulder.

Debris on the inner loop of the Beltway at U.S. 1/Baltimore Avenue could create some delays there.

8:35 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is still very slow after the Springfield Interchange. There’s also an accident on I-95 North at the interchange, so expect some delays around and approaching the area.

The accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road is still blocking one of the shoulders.

8:30 A.M. Update:

Metro reports that normal service has resumed on the Red Line at Judiciary Square. As always, watch for lingering delays.

8:10 A.M. Update:

Delays remain for Red Line trains heading to Shady Grove after the earlier train malfunction.

7:57 A.M. Update:

Red Line riders heading toward Shady Grove might see delays due to a train with door problems at Judiciary Square.

7:55 A.M. Update:

An accident on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road is blocking one of the shoulders.

I-395 North at Edsall Road is pretty jammed up back to the Springfield Interchange, so watch for headaches there.

And now MARC Brunswick Line train 876 is running 10 to 12 minutes late behind train 892.

7:35 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line train 892 is running 12 minutes late.

7:15 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is massively snarled approaching Chain Bridge Road, with delays stretching back well beyond Centreville.

All southbound lanes have reopened on I-395 South.

7 A.M. Update:

An accident on eastbound U.S. 50 at Javier Road is blocking the right shoulder.

On southbound I-395, the right lane is closed after Washington Boulevard.

6:40 A.M. Update:

The accident on southbound B.W. Parkway/MD-295 at Riverdale Road has been cleared and all lanes open, but major delays remain.

6:25 A.M. Update:

The accident on southbound B.W. Parkway/MD-295 at Riverdale Road is still blocking one southbound lane and one of the shoulders. Expect major delays to build approaching this spot.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help.

It sounds like we’re in for some lovely weather, with dry air, few clouds and a breeze, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

So far this morning:

— An accident on southbound B.W. Parkway/MD-295 at Riverdale Road is blocking one southbound lane and one of the shoulders.

— An accident on I-66 East at Chain Bridge Road is blocking the left shoulder.

— A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at I-66 is blocking the right shoulder.
