Amtrak train derails in Nebraska, no serious injuries reported

An Amtrak train carrying about 175 passengers derailed in southwest Nebraska on Friday morning, according to the Associated Press. No serious injuries were reported, but several passengers were taken to a hospital. The train, a California Zephyr heading from Chicago to California, struck a farm vehicle stopped on the tracks, according to an Amtrak press release. The train derailed not far from the borders of Kansas and Colorado.
