Avoid Wisconsin Ave and Q St NW

8:35 A.M. UPDATE:

The D.C. Fire Department reports that the bulk of the fire has been cleared and there are no injuries. Still, traffic should be snarled in that area, so avoid it.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway before the Braddock Road exit is blocking the right lane.

I-395 North is still jammed up at multiple points between the Springfield Interchange and the 14th Street Bridge.

8:30 A.M. UPDATE:

A fire reported at a gas station on Wisconsin Avenue and Q Street in Northwest Washington could snarl traffic in the area, so avoid the intersection (and Wisconsin Ave) if you can help it.

8:10 A.M. UPDATE:

Westbound New York Avenue is very, very backed up at Bladensburg Road.

The Beltway is remarkably calm around the I-270 Spur. However, there’s pretty bad congestion in both directions around Connecticut Avenue.

7:40 A.M. UPDATE:

The inner loop of the Beltway is jammed up in Virgina near Telegraph Road. There’s also an accident on the inner loop at I-66 blocking the left shoulder, so be wary if you are heading that way.

I-395 North is also considerably backed up at the 14th Street Bridge and multiple points heading in that direction.

7:15 A.M. UPDATE:

We’ve gotten reports of backups on the southbound B.W. Parkway at Patuxent Freeway/MD 32. Expect delays if you’re heading that way.

A disabled vehicle on I-66 East is blocking the right shoulder near the Beltway.

6:50 A.M. UPDATE:

There’s an accident on I-95 North near the Prince William Parkway. This could cause delays and exacerbate problems heading to Woodbridge and beyond.

6:30 A.M. UPDATE:

I-395 North has some congestion from Duke Street back to the Springfield Interchange.

I-66 East also has some backups near Chain Bridge Road.

And on I-95 North, there are delays approaching Woodbridge

6:10 A.M. UPDATE:

The disabled vehicle on I-66 West has been cleared and the entrance ramp reopened.

A disabled vehicle on I-66 West just before the Beltway is blocking the west entrance ramp to I-66.

A disabled vehicle on I-395 at Edsall Road is blocking the left shoulder of the northbound HOV lanes. There’s also congestion on I-395 North just to the north of that spot.

Roadwork is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders on I-95 North at Cherry Hill Road.
