Delays on I-395 North and I-95 North

8:30 A.M. Update:

I-95 North still has congestion approaching the Springfield Interchange and around Woodbridge.

Delays continue on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge and at multiple points leading to that area. If you’re taking that roadway, expect delays.

I-66 East is still a slog around the Beltway and at Teddy Roosevelt Bridge.

There are still disabled vehicles at North Capitol Street and Missouri Avenue in Northeast Washington, in the 3400 block of East Capitol Street and at 17th and I (Eye) streets in Northwest Washington.

8:15 A.M. Update:

Heavy backups remain on I-95 North before the Springfield Interchange.

I-66 East also has some serious congestion at the Beltway and near the Teddy Roosevelt Bridge.

7:45 A.M. Update:

There are disabled vehicles at North Capitol Street and Missouri Avenue in Northeast Washington, in the 3400 block of East Capitol Street and at 17th and I (Eye) streets in Northwest Washington.

7:25 A.M. Update:

The usual inner loop traffic approaching I-66 is already delaying cars, and will continue to do so for the rest of the morning rush hour, so if you’re heading that way be prepared.

I-95 North is still a slog approaching the Springfield Interchange.

I-395 North also has some congestion around the 14th Street Bridge.

7:05 A.M. Update:

The inner loop of the Beltway is congested approaching Gallows Road.

I-66 East is beginning to slow down near the Beltway, and these delays typically get worse as the morning goes on. Expect headaches there.

6:45 A.M. Update:

There’s a disabled vehicle on I-395 North on the shoulder of the H.O.V. lane near the Seminary Road exit, which is causing a bit of congestion around that spot.

6:30 A.M. Update:

There are some heavy delays on I-95 North approaching the Springfield Interchange.

I-395 North is also a bit congested before Glebe Road and approaching Duke Street.

Good morning, commuters! It’s going to be another scorcher today, with blistering heat and suffocating humidity, according to the Capital Weather Gang. We’ll be keeping tabs on any headaches, issues or problems we hear about on the roads this morning. There is already some early congestion on I-95 North around Woodbridge.
