Georgia Ave. reopens at Irving St

9:15 a.m. Update: The accident on Georgia Avenue has been cleared and all lanes are now open, according to the Distruct Department of Transportation.

8:50 A.M. Update:

The accident on Georgia Avenue and Irving Street is diverting all northbound Georgia Avenue traffic onto eastbound Irving Street. Avoid the area if at all possible.

An accident on the northbound side of the 3rd Street Tunnel might snarl traffic there.

The accident on Brandywine Road/MD 381 is still blocking all lanes in both directions at Tower Road in Brandywine.

I-66 East is jammed up around the Teddy Roosevelt Bridge.

8:20 A.M. Update:

There’s an accident at Georgia Avenue and Irving Street in Northwest. Northbound Georgia Avenue is blocked.

Meanwhile, the accident at Connecticut Avenue and Military Road has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

7:50 A.M. Update:

The accident on Connecticut Avenue and Military Road is blocking Military Road in both directions. The two right lanes are blocked on Connecticut Avenue, so stay to the left.

7:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on Connecticut Avenue and Military Road in Northwest Washington is causing problems in all directions, so avoid the area.

7:20 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is pretty backed up approaching the Springfield Interchange.

The accident on the northbound B.W. Parkway near the Baltimore airport has been cleared, but you can expect delays to remain in the area for a while.

The disabled vehicle on the southbound side of the 3rd Street Tunnel has been cleared.

7 A.M. Update:

All lanes have reopened on 17th Street in Northwest Washington, according to the D.C. Fire Department.

6:40 A.M. Update:

There’s a one-vehicle accident on the B.W. Parkway, which is blocking all northbound lanes at 195/Metropolitan Boulevard — right next to the Baltimore airport. Commuters heading north should take I-95, while drivers heading to the airport should try I-97.

An accident on Brandywine Road/MD 381 is blocking all lanes in both directions at Tower Road in Brandywine.

An update for the earlier fire near the Corcoran in Northwest Washington: Northbound 17th Street is open between Constitution and Pennsylvania Avenues, according to the D.C. Fire Department. Southbound 17th Street is closed between New York Avenue and E Street.

6:25 A.M. Update:

The outer loop lane has reopened near Colesville Road.

There’s a disabled vehicle on the southbound side of the 3rd Street Tunnel.

A disabled vehicle on I-66 West is blocking the right lane before Chain Bridge Road.

An accident on I-395 North is blocking the left lane and left shoulder near Duke Street.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway after Colesville Road is blocking one lane.

An accident on northbound I-295 at Pennsylvania Avenue in Southeast Washington could slow traffic there.

A small fire at the Corcoran Gallery of Art could impact traffic around 17th and E streets in Northwest Washington.
