Beltway lane closings in Tysons cancelled

In case you saw signs about road work: The Dulles Metrorail project has cancelled its plan to close lanes on the Capital Beltway’s outer loop tonight at Route 123 in Tysons Corner.

This work goes on fairly frequently during the construction season as crews build the bridge that will take Metro trains over the Beltway when the new rail line opens.

Plans call for Beltway lane closings to resume Tuesday through Thursday nights. The closing of the three right lanes is scheduled for 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night. The ramp from southbound Route 123 to the outer loop (I-495 south) is scheduled to be close during the same hours.
