MARC delayed, Metro will accept tickets

7:40 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line trains are boarding on the opposite track between Point of Rocks and Kensington, not Silver Spring, as the Maryland Transit Administration reported earlier.

7:30 A.M. Update:

Now MARC Brunswick line trains are boarding on the opposite track between Point of Rocks and Silver Spring, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

6:25 A.M. Update:

Train 872 is on the move now and is running 20 minutes late. It has taken on the passengers from disabled train 890.

Train 890 has been terminated and all other trains will run as normal, according to the Maryland Transit Administration. Again, Metro is honoring tickets.

Original Post:

MARC Brunswick Line train 890 is having mechanical problems and is stopped between Point of Rocks station and Dickerson. Train 872 will take train 890’s passengers, while a rescue train will be dispatched to help the disabled train. Expect a delay of 20 to 25 minutes, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

Metro will honor MARC tickets.
