Bridge checks to close D.C. lanes

The District Department of Transportation is in the midst of inspecting bridges along the Southeast Freeway and on Massachusetts Avenue. The inspections will require some lane closings, DDOT said.

The freeway bridges are between M and 11th streets SE, and the Massachusetts Avenue bridge is over Connecticut Avenue NW at Dupont Circle.

DDOT said the inspections will require either single-lane closings or rotating lane closures, from left to right, to ensure a safe work zone. This will occur between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Here are the details.

Freeway: Look for alternating right and left lane closings on the westbound freeway over M Street and 11th Street through Thursday.

Dupont Circle: Look for alternating right and left lane closings on northbound Connecticut Avenue under Massachusetts Avenue, followed by alternating right and left lane closures on southbound Connecticut Avenue.
