Capital Bikeshare meeting Mon. in Arlington

Arlington County wants to hear from you about its plans to expand the Capital Bikeshare program.

(Gerald Martineau - FOR THE WASHINGTON POST)
You can now check out the program’s signature red bikes at more than 110 docking stations in the District and Arlington, but the county is holding a public meeting Monday about a proposal to to add 30 stations in the Rosslyn, Courthouse, Clarendon, Virginia Square and Ballston areas.

The proposed stations were determined after an analysis of population and employment density, bike and transit facilities and destinations.

Capital Bikeshare could also expand to Montgomery County by next year. The county received federal funding to add 200 bikes and 20 docking stations in Rockville and Shady Grove as part of a pilot program.

The Arlington meeting will take place at 7 p.m. at 2100 Clarendon Blvd.
