Inner loop, I-95 North congested in VA

8:50 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is backed up near Washington Boulevard and King Street.

The inner loop of the Beltway still has heavy congestion leading up to I-66.

I-95 North is slow approaching the Springfield Interchange. An accident at the interchange is blocking the right shoulder of the northbound exit ramp to I-495.

There’s a disabled vehicle on the Tenley Circle at Wisconsin Avenue in Northwest Washington, so try to avoid that spot if possible.

8:30 A.M. Update:

There’s an accident in the 1400 block of H Street in Northwest Washington, so avoid that block.

An accident has also been reported in the 2500 block of South Dakota Avenue in Northeast Washington.

The emergency roadwork on Ridge Road/MD 27 is now blocking the northbound lane between Sweepstakes and Kings Valley roads in Damascus. The southbound lane is now bidirectional, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

8:05 A.M. Update:d

There’s an accident on 25th Street and Southern Avenue in Southeast Washington involving a Metrobus, according to the District Department of Transportation. Expect delays in that area.

A disabled tractor trailer is on the southbound side of the 3rd Street Tunnel. We don’t have more information on lane closures, but just expect delays approaching this spot.

Traffic signals are reportedly flashing or out at Wisconsin Avenue and Albemarle Street in Northwest Washington.

7:35 A.M. Update:

An accident at 16th and Belmont streets in Northwest Washington could cause serious traffic problems for commuters approaching this intersection.

There’s an accident on southbound I-270 before Shady Grove Road.

The inner loop of the Beltway now has heavy delays approaching I-66.

7:10 A.M. Update:

Traffic signals are reportedly out or flashing at 1st and E streets in Northwest.

6:50 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on U.S. 50 in Bowie has been cleared and the lanes reopened.

I-395 North is congested approaching Duke Street.

There’s a disabled vehicle on I-395 South before King Street, blocking the right shoulder.

The inner loop of the Beltway is congested around Gallows Road.

6:25 A.M Update:

A disabled vehicle on westbound U.S. 50 at Collington Road/MD 197 in Bowie is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

Emergency roadwork on Ridge Road/MD 27 is blocking one southbound lane between Sweepstakes and Kings Valley roads in Damascus. The northbound lane is bidirectional, according to the Maryland Department of Transportation.

Good morning, commuters! The weather should be lovely today, with temperatures in the 70s and light breezes, according to the Capital Weather Gang .

Remember that the reconstruction of Constitution Avenue should close up to two lanes in each direction between 20th and 23rd streets in Northwest from 5:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
