Delays in both direction on Green and Yellow lines

Good morning, commuters! Monday’s flirtation with wintry weather appears to have been just a tease as sun returns and temperatures head into the 50s today, according to Capital Weather Gang.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help. If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

8:20 A.M. Update:

Metro reports that normal service has resumed at Mt. Vernon Square. Riders should expect residual delays on the Green and Yellow Lines.

So far:

There are Metro delays in both directions on the Green and Yellow lines due to a switch problem outside Mt. Vernon Square, Metro reports.

A disabled vehicle on I-95 North at the exit for Powder Mill Road/MD 212 could slow traffic there.

An accident on I-95 South near the Fairfax County Parkway is blocking the left shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on I-66 East at Chain Bridge Road is blocking the right shoulder.

An earlier accident on I-95 North at the exit for Powder Mill Road/MD 212 has been cleared.
