Delays on I-95 North , I-66 East

8:40 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on I-270 South at Quince Orchard Road has been cleared from the shoulder.

I-395 North is sluggish approaching Pentagon City and King Street.

I-95 North has some severe congestion near Newington, while I-66 East remains crowded approaching the Beltway.

8:15 A.M. Update:

There are accidents in the 1400 block of Park Road in Northwest Washington and at Minnesota and Nannie Helen Burroughs avenues in Northeast Washington.

7:50 A.M. Update:

There's an accident on 1st and H streets in Northwest Washington as well as an accident on North Capitol and K streets. Those could cause some problems around those spot.

7:35 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on 4th Street and Michigan Avenue in Northeast Washington could cause some problems.

There’s an accident on 7th and D streets in Southwest Washington.

The usual delays on I-66 East approaching the Beltway have arrived , so expect congestion if you’re heading that way.

The vehicle fire on the inner loop of the Beltway before Baltimore Avenue has been cleared up. So has the disabled vehicle on the ramp from eastbound Germantown Road to I-270 in Germantown.

There is a disabled vehicle on I-270 South at Quince Orchard Road, but it’s on the shoulder.

7:15 A.M. Update:

There’s a vehicle fire on the inner loop of the Beltway before the exit for Baltimore Avenue. It’s blocking one lane, one of the right off-ramp lanes and one of the shoulders.

7:10 A.M. Updated:

The inner loop of the Beltway is sluggish approaching Gallows Road.

6:50 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is also backed up around Duke Street right now.

6:35 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle has been cleared from I-95 North in Lorton, but there are still some delays approaching this spot.

Good morning, commuters! It’s still going to be hot today, but it will be below 100 degrees so it’s something of an improvement, according to the Capital Weather Gang. Some scattered showers and storms are expected later in the day, but it should be sunny through the morning.

So far:

There’s an accident at Michigan Avenue and Taylor Street in Northwest Washington.

A deer has reportedly been struck on northbound I-295 at Eastern Avenue in Northeast Washington, according to the District Department of Transportation.

There’s a disabled vehicle on the ramp from eastbound Germantown Road to I-270 in Germantown. This could cause some eastbound traffic problems there.

A disabled vehicle on I-95 North in Lorton is blocking the exit ramp and right shoulder at the exit for U.S. 1/Richmond Highway, located just after the Occoquan River.
