Delays on I-95 North, I-66 East in VA

8:30 A.M. Update:

I-395 North remains backed up at King Street and at the 14th Street Bridge.

I-66 East is congested approaching the Beltway, while the inner loop of the Beltway is slow approaching I-66.

8 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is still very slow approaching the Fairfax County Parkway and, further south, in Woodbridge.

7:35 A.M. Update:

Eastbound I-66 is really crawling at the Beltway.

I-395 North has some delays at King Street and again at the 14th Street Bridge.

7:15 A.M. Update:

The vehicle fire on the inner loop of the Beltway has been cleared.

6:55 A.M. Update:

An accident on Canal Road near M Street in Northwest Washington should screw up traffic in that area.

A vehicle fire on the inner loop of the Beltway before the exit for Allentown Road is blocking one of the shoulders.

The fallen tree has been cleared from southbound Laurel Bowie Road/MD 197 at Powder Mill Road in Laurel.

The debris has also been cleared from northbound B.W. Parkway/MD-295 after Annapolis Road/MD 450, blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

6:35 A.M. Update:

There are now delays on eastbound I-66 at the Beltway as well as at Chain Bridge Road.

The fallen tree is blocking southbound Laurel Bowie Road/MD 197 at Powder Mill Road in Laurel.

There’s also debris on northbound B.W. Parkway/MD-295 after Annapolis Road/MD 450, blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

6:15 A.M. Update:

Northbound I-95 is still jammed up in Virginia.

I-66 East is also starting to slow down around Chain Bridge Road, and once these delays start they usually don’t let up.

Laurel Bowie Road/MD 197 is blocked at Powder Mill Road in Laurel by a fallen tree, reports the Post’s Justin Jouvenal.

So far, there are already early delays on northbound I-95 in Virginia. Traffic is backed up in Woodbridge and again approaching the Fairfax County Parkway.
