Expect delays stemming from Pres. Obama speech near Key Bridge

8:35 A.M. Update:

The accident on eastbound Little River Turnpike before Braddock Road is blocking the left lane and center lane.

Traffic signals are reportedly flashing at Southern Avenue and Suitland Road SE.

There’s an accident on 7th and East Capitol streets in Northeast Washington.

An accident at First Street and Florida Avenue NW could cause issues there.

Debris on eastbound U.S. 50 before Collington Road/MD 197 is blocking one eastbound lane and one of the shoulders.

Remember: President Obama is speaking at a waterfront park in Georgetown near the Key Bridge this morning. Expect traffic headaches in the area.

8:15 A.M. Update:

An accident on the Little River Turnpike at Minor Lane, just west of Braddock Road, is blocking the east right outside lane and right shoulder.

Traffic signals are flashing at Stanton Road and Bruce Place SE.

An accident in the 2400 block of East Capitol Street NE could cause issues there.

8 A.M. Update:

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway after the Dulles Toll Road has been cleared and the lanes reopened. Expect delays approaching this spot.

7:45 A.M. Update:

An accident in the 2800 block of southbound Wisconsin Avenue NW is blocking the right lane.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway after the Dulles Toll Road is blocking the right two lanes.

7:30 A.M. Update:

An accident on 15th and I (Eye) streets in Northwest Washington is blocking the left turn lane, so expect delays there.

The accident on Lee Highway has been cleared and all northbound lanes reopened.

The accident on I-95 North before Newington has been cleared from the H.O.V. ramp.

7 A.M. Update:

An accident on Lee Highway between Blake Lane and Nutley Street is blocking all northbound lanes. This stretch runs right between I-66 and Arlington Boulevard, so you could stick to either of those roads to get around this area.

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway north of Gallows Road is blocking the right shoulder.

There’s also a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder of the inner loop at I-66.

6:40 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-95 North before Newington is blocking the right shoulder of the ramp from the H.O.V. lanes to I-95 North.

The accident on the outer loop after the Colesville Road exit has been cleared from the shoulder.

6:20 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway south of the Dulles Toll Road is blocking the right lane.

Good morning, commuters! It’s going to be a chilly but nice day today, according to the Capital Weather Gang. We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help: If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

Georgetown commuters, who experienced heavy delays on Tuesday morning stemming from a shooting there Monday night, should expect some issues this morning as well: President Obama is appearing at a waterfront park near the Key Bridge to promote his jobs plan. The Key Bridge was one of 215 bridges found to be structurally deficient in the Washington area, according to a recent report.

The exact time was not known when the event was announced, but the Georgetown Dish reported that the speech would begin at 11:30 a.m. Expect additional traffic and try to avoid driving down near that park if possible.

So far this morning:

— An accident on the outer loop after the Colesville Road exit is blocking one of the shoulders.
