Free transfers between Farragut North and Farragut West

Metro riders who want to move between the Farragut North and Farragut West stations no longer have to head to Metro Center or pay an additional fare to make the switch. As of noon today, riders can move between the two stations for free.

In what Metro has dubbed the Farragut Crossing, riders can transfer between the Orange and Blue lines at Farragut West and the Red Line at Farragut North without having to pay a fare. You just have to use a SmarTrip card and make the switch in 30 minutes or less.
