Frederick Ave. lane blocked in Gaithersburg

8:30 A.M. Update:

A utility problem on southbound Frederick Avenue after Peony Drive in Gaithersburg is still blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

There’s a disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway blocking one of the shoulders before Georgia Avenue.

The accident on westbound U.S. 50 before Church Road has been cleared and the lanes reopened.

An accident on Florida Avenue at 13th Street in Northwest Washington could cause delays there.

8:20 A.M. Update:

A number of accidents in the District that could snarl traffic. Watch out at these intersections:

— On eastbound Pennsylvania Avenue, the left lane is blocked at Fairlawn Street in Southeast

— Naylor Road and 25th Street in Southeast

— Michigan Avenue and 4th Street in Northeast

— South Capitol and I (Eye) streets in Southwest

— 16th and Euclid streets in Northwest

8:15 A.M. Update:

An accident on westbound U.S. 50 before Church Road is blocking one westbound lane and one of the shoulders.

7:55 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is pretty jammed up around Duke Street right now.

7:35 A.M. Update:

The inner loop is congested near Gallows Road, while the outer loop is backed up near Eisenhower Avenue.

7:15 A.M. Update:

A utility problem on southbound Frederick Avenue after Peony Drive in Gaithersburg is still blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

6:55 A.M. Update:

The accident on the northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway has been cleared and the lanes reopened. You can expect some residual traffic issues in the area around New York Avenue/U.S. 50.

The accident on southbound I-295 involved one vehicle, according to the D.C. Fire Department. There are no injuries, but you can expect traffic issues near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue.

6:35 A.M. Update:

The accident is on the northbound Baltimore-Washington Parkway north of U.S. 50/New York Avenue, not Bladensburg Road as we reported earlier. Two northbound lanes and one of the shoulders are blocked.

An accident on southbound I-295 just south of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue in Southeast Washington could slow traffic there.

The disabled vehicle has been cleared from the outer loop at Gallows Road.

6:15 A.M. Update:

An accident on northbound MD 201/Bladensburg Road after U.S. 50 is blocking two lanes and one of the shoulders.

There’s some debris on the outer loop of the Beltway at Landover Road, so there might be delays around that spot.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at Gallows Road is blocking the right shoulder.
