9:52 A.M. Update:

Delays persist on the Green and Yellow lines in both directions. Trains are still sharing the same track between Anacostia and the Navy Yard stations, while there are also delays around Southern Avenue and Naylor Road due to an earlier issue with a sick customer.

9:22 A.M. Update:

The situation with the sick customer at Southern Avenue has been resolved. But Green Line delays persist betwee Southern Avenue and Naylor Avenue, and also essentially on the entire Green Line. Expect big, big delays.

9:15 A.M. Update:

Problems persist for the Green and Yellow lines. There’s a sick customer on a train at Southern Avenue, so trains are sharing the same track between Southern Avenue and Naylor Avenue. This is causing Green Line delays in both directions.

Green Line trains are also experiencing delays due to standing water on the tracks, causing trains to single-track between Anacostia and the Navy Yard.

9 A.M. Update:

Service has resumed between Congress Heights and L’Enfant Plaza, but there are still massive delays on the Green and Yellow lines. Trains are sharing the same track between Anacostia and Navy Yard due to a track problem between the two stations, according to Metro.

8:50 AM. Update:

There are bigger problems for the Green and Yellow lines right now: There is no train service between Congress Heights and L’Enfant Plaza, stemming from a track problem at Anacostia. Shuttle bus service has been requested, and there are big delays in both directions.
