Backups finally ease on commuter routes

9 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-395 North before Washington Boulevard is blocking the left lane and left shoulder.

I-95 North is backed up approaching the Springfield Interchange.

There are still issues on I-66 in both directions in Arlington.

Debris in the road has been cleared from the inner loop of the Beltway at the exit for Allentown Road.

An accident on Massachusetts Avenue at Dupont Circle could snarl traffic approaching that spot, so avoid it if you can help it.

8:35 A.M. Update:

A vehicle fire on I-395 before Washington Boulevard is blocking the right lane and right shoulder of the HOV lanes.

I-66 West remains clogged heading out of Arlington and towards the Beltway.

I-395 North is very backed up at multiple points between the Beltway and the 14th Street Bridge.

The westbound U.S. 50 lanes have reopened before Collington Road.

Debris in the road could slow the inner loop of the Beltway at the exit for Allentown Road.

A disabled vehicle on New York Avenue and Bladensburg Road in Northeast could slow traffic there.

8:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on U.S. 50 before Collington Road is blocking three of four westbound lanes. Expect heavy delays and seek alternate routes.

An accident at 22nd and H streets in Northwest could slow traffic there.

There's also an accident on the northbound 14th Street Bridge, so expect delays approaching that spot.

Backups continue on westbound I-66 in Arlington.

7:45 A.M. Update:

There’s an accident in the northbound HOV lanes on I-395 near Washington Boulevard. One reversible lane is blocked.

The accident on I-66 West has been cleared and the lane reopened. However, residual delays are still in place, so if you’re heading there from the District expect to hit some traffic.

7:30 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on I-95 North near the Fairfax County Parkway has been cleared.

There’s an accident blocking the right lane on westbound I-66 near Washington Boulevard in Arlington.

An accident on southbound I-395 near Sixth Street could cause issues in Southwest.

7:05 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on I-95 North has been moved to the right shoulder.

I-395 North is very, very backed up at the 14th Street Bridge.

The inner loop of the Beltway is congested near Telegraph Road and Gallows Road.

6:45 A.M. Update:

There’s a disabled vehicle blocking the right lane on I-95 North near the Fairfax County Parkway.

This leads to backups on I-95 North between this spot and the Springfield Interchange.

6:25 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is backed up in Woodbridge right now.
