NW street closures due to water service repairs

12:20 P.M. Update: The District Department of Transportation reports that the National Park Service is scheduled to close Canal Road between Arizona and Foxhall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Wednesday of this week for maintenance.

10:50 A.M. Update: D.C. Water reports that the 1000 and 1100 block sof 24th Street NW and the 2300 block of L Street NW awill be closed four to six hours for water service repairs.

9:20 A.M. Update:

Red line trains are single-tracking between Friendship Heights and Van Ness after a customer became sick on board a train about 9 a.m., according to WMATA. The woman was removed from the train for treatment, but delays are expected to persist in both directions.

8:45 A.M. Update:

I-395 North remains badly backed up, with pretty heavy congestion from King Street back to the Beltway. There are also some backups approaching the 14th Street Bridge, but congestion lessens around Shirlington.

Eastbound I-66 is typically slow approaching the Beltway.

A disabled vehicle on I-270 South after Falls Road is blocking one of the shoulders.

The outer loop of the Beltway is pretty backed up around Colesville Road.

Both directions of the Beltway are slow around the American Legion Bridge right now.

8:30 A.M. Update:

An accident at Pennsylvania and Minnesota avenues SE could cause delays around there, according to D.C. police.

8:15 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle on I-95 North in Occoquan has been moved to the shoulder.

8 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway is blocking the right shoulder at Arlington Boulevard.

I-395 North remains jammed approaching Glebe Road, while I-95 North is also very backed up approaching the Springfield Interchange.

A disabled vehicle on I-95 North is blocking the left center lane in Occoquan.

7:55 A.M. Update:

Seven Locks Road is closed from Bells Mill Road to Scotland Drive due to a water main break, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.

An accident is blocking one southbound lane on New Hampshire Avenue at Taylor Street NW.

7:35 A.M. Update:

Additional problems in the 3rd Street Tunnel: An accident on the northbound side of the tunnel could seriously snarl traffic. Avoid that route if you can help it.

7:20 A.M. Update:

The left lane on southbound 3rd Street NW is blocked due to a pothole near New York Avenue and the entrance to the 3rd Street Tunnel.

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway at Braddock Road is blocking the right shoulder.

7:05 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-395 North at Glebe Road has been cleared and the lanes reopened. I-395 North is still badly backed up approaching this exit, so expect delays.

6:50 A.M. Update:

The debris on the outer loop of the Beltway before Allentown Road has been cleared and the lanes reopened.

An accident on I-95 North at the Fairfax County Parkway is blocking the right shoulder.

An accident on I-395 North at Glebe Road is blocking the left lane and left shoulder. Expect to encounter very heavy delays on I-395 North.

6:35 A.M. Update:

An accident on southbound G.W. Parkway north of Spout Run is blocking the right lane and causing major delays, according to U.S. Park Police.

I-395 North is pretty jammed approaching Glebe Road, where the northbound left center lane is still blocked.

6:20 A.M. Update:

The debris on the outer loop of the Beltway before Allentown Road is blocking one outer loop lane and one of the shoulders.

6:07 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-395 North is blocking the left center lane at Glebe Road.

The accident on I-395 North near Washington Boulevard has been cleared and the lane reopened.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help: If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

The day gets off to a very chilly start, according to the Capital Weather Gang. It will get warmer as the morning progresses and into the afternoon, but bundle up before you head out today.

So far:

— An accident on I-395 North near Washington Boulevard is blocking the right lane.

— Debris on the outer loop of the Beltway before Allentown Road could slow traffic around that exit.
