I-66 crash that killed 1 may cause delays

An investigation into a collision between two tractor-trailers Monday morning may cause headaches for commuters heading westward on Interstate 66 this afternoon.

According to Virginia State Police, one person died when the two vehicles crashed about 11:52 a.m. on I-66 in Warren County. At least one tractor-trailer caught fire, police said. The westbound lanes of the highway were closed, but the left lane reopened shortly before 3 p.m.

Authorities said the continuing closure of the right lane may cause delays into the evening hours.
