I-95 North snarled in Lorton

8:30 A.M. Update:

I-95 North is congested before Newington, with very heavy delays around Lorton and Woodbridge.

I-395 North is snarled approaching the 14th Street Bridge.

The disabled vehicle on I-95 South at Powder Mill Road/MD 212 is has been cleared and the lane reopened.

An accident at Minnesota Avenue and Benning Road NE could cause headaches there.

Traffic signals are reportedly flashing on Connecticut Avenue and Yuma Street NW.

8:10 A.M. Update:

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway east of the Springfield Interchange has been cleared and all traffic lanes reopened. The right shoulder remains closed, and you should expect residual delays in the area.

A disabled vehicle on I-95 South at Powder Mill Road/MD 212 is blocking one southbound lane.

7:55 A.M. Update:

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway east of the Springfield Interchange is now blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

Traffic signals are reportedly flashing at Connecticut Avenue and Fessenden Street NW.

7:40 A.M. Update:

The earlier accident on I-95 North at the Springfield Interchange is still blocking the right shoulder. Heavy delays persist approaching this spot.

An accident on I-95 North at the Fairfax County Parkway is also blocking the right shoulder.

The accident on the southbound Franconia Springfield Parkway/Route 7100 near the ramp to I-95 South is now only blocking the right shoulder.

7:35 A.M. Update:

An accident on the northbound 14th Street Bridge could cause heavy delays.

7:15 A.M. Update:

I-95 North remains very, very backed up approaching the Springfield Interchange. An accident on I-95 North before the Springfield Interchange is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway east of the Springfield Interchange is blocking the right two lanes and the right shoulder. There are heavy delays around this spot.

7:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on the southbound Franconia Springfield Parkway/Route 7100 is blocking two lanes near the ramp to I-95 South.

An accident at Minnesota Avenue and Benning Road NE is causing slow traffic in that area, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

There’s also congestion around Sherman Avenue and Columbia Road NW due to an accident, police report.

6:55 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway east of the Springfield Interchange is blocking the left lane, right center lane, right lane and right shoulder. Expect delays on this stretch.

An accident on eastbound I-66 after Nutley Street could cause serious traffic issues.

6:35 A.M. Update:

The right lane has reopened on I-95 North at the Springfield Interchange. The right shoulder remains blocked. There are heavy delays approaching this spot.

6:15 A.M. Update:

I-270 South has reopened after Montrose Road.

Good morning, commuters! It’s going to be warmer and breezier today, according to the Capital Weather Gang. There are also some showers expected later in the day, but nothing this morning. — An accident n I-95 North at the Springfield Interchange is blocking the right lane and right shoulder.

— A medical emergency on I-270 South after Montrose Road is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.
