Delays on I-395 North

8:45 A.M. Update:

Delays continue on the usual trouble spots in Northern Virginia: I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge, I-66 East at the Beltway and on the inner loop at I-66.

I-95 North is also pretty backed up at the Springfield Interchange.

I-270 South is actually moving pretty smoothly as traffic approaches the spur.

The outer loop of the Beltway is pretty congested around University Boulevard.

8:30 A.M. Update:

There are delays on I-66 East at the Beltway and on the inner loop of the Beltway at I-66.

I-395 North is very backed up at the 14th Street Bridge and at multiple points approaching that spot.

8:05 A.M. Update:

There are a few accidents in the District that could cause some problems:

— An accident at 24th and Calvert streets in Northwest Washington.

— An accident at 1st and Bates streets in Northwest Washington.

— An accident at 4th and College streets in Northwest Washington.

— An accident at 13th and D streets in Northeast Washington.

7:45 A.M. Update:

The left lane has reopened on I-395 North at Edsall Road.

There are accidents at 1st and M streets (in Southeast Washington) and Montana Avenue and Downing Street (in Northeast Washington).

7:15 A.M. Update:

The left lane remains blocked on I-395 North at Edsall Road, so drivers heading towards this spot should expect delays.

And now the inner loop has its usual delays: Traffic is slowing down near Gallows Road, which means congestion in that area is likely with us for the rest of the morning.

6:55 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-395 North near Edsall Road is blocking the left lane and left shoulder.

6:35 A.M. Update:

I-395 North is congested at the 14th Street Bridge, Seminary Road and Duke Street right now.

I-66 East is slow around Chain Bridge Road right now.

6:10 A.M. Update:

Traffic on I-395 North near Duke Street is beginning to slow down, the start of the routine morning days in this spot.

The accident has been cleared from the I-95 North shoulder in Woodbridge, but delays remain approaching that area.

Original Post:

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping tabs on any headaches, issues or problems we hear about on the roads this morning. Let us know anything you see out there — tell us in the comments below or via Twitter (@DrGridlock).

So far:

There are some early delays on I-95 North approaching Woodbridge. An accident is blocking the right shoulder near exit 160, which could be exacerbating delays.
