New Hampshire Ave. blocked in Sandy Spring

8:30 A.M. Update:

New Hampshire Avenue remains blocked in both directions at Ednor Road in Sandy Spring.

I-395 North is still pretty jammed at the 14th Street Bridge.

8:25 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on eastbound I-66 is blocking the right lane just before the Beltway.

8 A.M. Update:

Delays continue on eastbound I-66 (at Nutley Street) and on the inner loop of the Beltway (at I-66).

New Hampshire Avenue is blocked in both directions at Ednor Road, so avoid that area. Take Norwood Road or Georgia Avenue to the west instead of New Hampshire Avenue.

7:40 A.M. Update:

An accident on New Hampshire Avenue is blocking the road in both directions at Ednor Road.

The accident on the inner loop at the Dulles Toll Road has been cleared from the shoulder.

7:20 A.M. Update:

Debris in the road on westbound U.S. 50 at the Beltway could cause traffic issues.

Northbound traffic on the 14th Street Bridge is pretty slow already.

7 A.M. Update:

Eastbound I-66 is beginning to slow down around Nutley Street. You can expect these delays to worsen as the morning continues.

The same is true of delays on the inner loop approaching Gallows Road. They will only remain in place for the morning rush or worsen.

6:40 A.M. Update:

The disabled vehicle has been cleared from the inner loop near Connecticut Avenue.

There’s an accident on the inner loop at the Dulles Toll Road, blocking one of the shoulders.

An accident on westbound I-66 at U.S. 50 was briefly blocking one lane, but it has been cleared.

6:10 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway at the exit for Connecticut Avenue is blocking the shoulder.

The disabled vehicle has been cleared from the inner loop at Gallows Road.

Good morning, commuters. We’re back to sultry weather after a few days of drier air, according to the Capital Weather Gang. An accident is blocking eastbound Independence Avenue at 7th Street in Southwest Washington. Avoid that area.

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway is blocking the right shoulder at Gallows Road.
