Florida Ave. lane reopens after accident

9 A.M. Update:

Florida Avenue has fully reopened after the earlier accident at Rhode Island Avenue in Northwest Washington. Expect residual delays approaching that area.

8:35 A.M. Update:

Eastbound I-66 remains nightmarish approaching the Beltway right now.

An accident on the northbound side of the 14th Street Bridge could cause severe delays there.

There’s an accident at 13th and H streets in Northwest Washington, try to avoid that area.

8:30 A.M. Update:

The left lane has reopened while the second lane from the left remain blocked on westbound Florida Avenue at Rhode Island Avenue NW due to an accident. There are some injuries as a result of this crash, but none are serious, according to the D.C. Fire Department.

8:15 A.M. Update:

An accident on nothbound I-395 at 12th Street in Southwest Washington could cause traffic problems approaching this spot.

Two lanes are blocked on westbound Florida Avenue at Rhode Island Avenue in Northwest Washington due to an accident.

And an accident at Connecticut Avenue and Sedgwick Street in Northwest Washington could delay traffic.

8:10 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway before Georgia Avenue could cause delays there, adding to congestion caused by the earlier vehicle fire and lane closures. Basically, expect delays on the inner loop approaching this spot.

8 A.M. Update:

The vehicle fire on the inner loop of the Beltway before Georgia Avenue has been cleared and the lanes reopened.

7:45 A.M. Update:

An accident at 17th and I (Eye) streets in Northwest Washington has blocked the intersection. Avoid that area.

The inner loop of the Beltway is backed up at Connecticut Avenue right now.

There are also delays on the outer loop of the Beltway near Van Dorn Street.

7:35 A.M. Update:

A vehicle fire on the inner loop of the Beltway is blocking two lanes and one of the shoulders before Georgia Avenue.

7:20 A.M. Update:

There are massive delays for eastbound I-66 approaching the Beltway, with delays beginning after the Fairfax County Parkway.

7 A.M. Update:

Eastbound I-66 remains problematic at Chain Bridge Road.

I-395 North is also slowing down amid some congestion after the Springfield Interchange.

A vehicle fire on I-270 North at Old Georgetown Road could slow traffic there.

The debris has been cleared from I-95 South at Good Luck Road could cause delays.

6:40 A.M. Update:

The accident on southbound I-95 after the Fairfax County Parkway is only blocking the left shoulder; the left lane has reopened.

There’s some congestion building up on I-66 East at Chain Bridge Road, which you can expect to worsen as the morning continues.

6:15 A.M. Update:

An accident on southbound I-95 after the Fairfax County Parkway is blocking the left lane and left shoulder.

Some debris in the road on I-95 South at Good Luck Road could cause delays.

The accident on the inner loop at the Baltimore-Washington Parkway has been cleared and those lanes reopened.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at the Baltimore-Washington Parkway is blocking two lanes and the right acceleration lane.
