Outer loop lane reopened in MD

8:30 A.M. Update:

Roads remain closedaround North Capitol and First streets in Northeast Washington due to D.C. Fire Department activity in the area.

Watch out for an accident at 4th Street and New York Avenue in Northwest Washington. The accident reportedly involves a dump truck and could cause major problems.

An accident at Pennsylvania and Minnesota avenues in Northeast Washington could slow traffic.

The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway before University Boulevard is now only blocking the shoulders.

8:25 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway before University Boulevard is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

8:10 A.M. Update:

Avoid the area around North Capitol and First streets in Northeast Washington. The D.C. Fire Department is responding to a reported fire, which is closing roads around that intersection.

Accidents at 11th and N streets (in Northwest) and 15th and H streets (in Northeast) could slow traffic around those spots.

7:50 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-395 North at the entrance to the Third Street Tunnel is seriously backing up traffic there. Commuters get by on the shoulder.

Traffic lights are reportedly flashing at 10th and Franklin streets in Northeast Washington.

7:40 A.M. Update:

Watch out for delays stemming from an accident on Canal Street at Delaware Avenue in Southwest Washington.

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at I-66 could cause delays there. It’s blocking the right shoulder.

There’s also a disabled vehicle on I-95 South in Lorton blocking the left shoulder.

7:20 A.M. Update:

An accident at New York and Florida avenues in Northeast Washington could seriously snarl traffic there.

The a disabled vehicle on I-395 South in Virginia not far from the 14th Street Bridge has been cleared from the shoulder.

A disabled vehicle on I-395 North at King Street is on the right shoulder and could cause issues there.

7 A.M. Update:

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway before River Road has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

6:45 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway before River Road is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

There’s a disabled vehicle on I-395 South in Virginia not far from the 14th Street Bridge. It’s blocking the right shoulder. If you’re heading south this way, expect some delays.

6:20 A.M. Update:

There’s some decent congestion building on eastbound I-66 at Cedar Lane. It’s still moving, but there is fairly consistent traffic there right now.
