Keeping tabs on the Monday morning commute: Green Line delays after train hits deer

8:45 A.M. Update | Green Line delays linger

Green Line trains are resuming two-track service near Suitland. A train hit a deer near there, creating single-tracking and delays for a stretch of the Green Line. Watch for lingering delays.

A pedestrian has been reportedly hit by a vehicle at 12th Street and Constitution Avenue NE.

8:20 A.M. Update | Green Line delays

Green Line trains are delayed due to a train that hit a deer at Suitland. Trains are single-tracking between Branch Avenue and Naylor Road.

8:15 A.M. Update | I-270 South lanes reopen

The vehicle fire on I-270 South after Montrose Road has been cleared and all lanes reopened.

8 A.M. Update | I-270 South lanes remain blocked

The disabled vehicle on I-270 South at I-370 has been cleared and the blocked southbound lane reopened.

The vehicle fire on I-270 South after Montrose Road is still blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

7:55 A.M. Update | Ox Road accident cleared

The accident on southbound Ox Road/VA 123 at Burke Center Parkway has been cleared from the roadway.

7:40 A.M. Update | Accident blocking Ox Road lanes

An accident on southbound Ox Road/VA 123 at Burke Center Parkway is blocking all lanes; only one of the shoulders is open to traffic. Expect delays and avoid this road.

7:37 A.M. Update | I-270 South lanes blocked

A disabled vehicle on I-270 South at I-370 is blocking one southbound lane.

A vehicle fire on I-270 South after Montrose Road is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

7:20 A.M. Update | Accident on I-270 South

An accident on I-270 South at the exit for W. Montgomery Avenue is blocking one southbound lane and one of the southbound shoulders.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Braddock Road has been cleared from the shoulder, but heavy backups remain on the inner loop approaching this spot.

The accident on southbound Sully Road/VA 28 near I-66 East has also been cleared.

7:15 A.M. Update | MARC Camden Line delays

MARC Camden Line train 840 is running 12 to 15 minutes behind schedule due to the switch issue near Riverdale.

6:55 A.M. Update | Disabled vehicle cleared

The disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at G.W. Parkway has been cleared from the right shoulder.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Braddock Road is blocking the left shoulder.

6:40 A.M. Update | Accident on Sully Rd. at I-66

An accident on southbound Sully Road/VA 28 near the ramp to and from I-66 East is blocking the left outside lane, left inside center lane and left center lane.

The disabled vehicle on I-395 North at Seminary Road has been cleared from the shoulder.

An accident on northbound U.S. 1 near Buckman Road is blocking the right shoulder.

6:25 A.M. Update | Disabled vehicle on outer loop

A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at G.W. Parkway is blocking the right shoulder.

An accident on I-95 North before the Springfield Interchange is blocking the left shoulder.

6:10 A.M. Update | MARC delays

MARC Camden Line train 841 may run about 15 to 20 minutes late due to a switch problem south of Rivedrale.

So far this morning:

— I-95 North is slow approaching Occoquan.

— A disabled vehicle on I-395 North at Seminary Road is blocking the right shoulder.
