U.S. 1 blocked in Riverdale Park by accident

9:40 A.M. Update:

U.S. 1 has reopened in Riverdale Park.

8:40 A.M. Update:

U.S. 1 remains closed in Riverdale Park from Riverdale Road to Olive Street. This is because Prince George’s County police are investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian in the 6100 block of Baltimore Avenue.

The accident on the outer loop of the Beltway before the B.W. Parkway has been cleared and the lanes reopened.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Good Luck Road has also been cleared and the lanes reopened.

The disabled vehicle at Firth Sterling Avenue and Howard Road in Southeast Washington has been moved out of the intersection, according to police.

MARC train 894 is running 12 to 15 minutes late.

8:20 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle at Firth Sterling Avenue and Howard Road in Southeast Washington could create delays around that intersection.

8:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway before the B.W. Parkway is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at Good Luck Road is also blocking one of the lanes and one of the shoulders.

There’s an accident on the inner loop of the Beltway before Colesville Road, but it’s on one of the shoulders.

7:50 A.M. Update:

An accident is blocking U.S. 1 in both directions at Queensbury Road in Riverdale Park. Avoid this area and expect very heavy delays.

The accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at the ramp to Georgia Avenue has been cleared.

MARC train 894 is now running 8 to 10 minutes late approaching Barnesville.

7:25 A.M. Update:

MARC train 878 is running 12 to 15 minutes late approaching Brunswick due to freight interference, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

7:05 A.M. Update:

An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at the ramp to Georgia Avenue isn’t reported to be blocking any lanes yet, but it could create delays.

The accidents on the outer loop of the Beltway at Riggs Road and New Hampshire Avenue have been cleared.

6:50 A.M. Update:

An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at Riggs Road could cause delays.

There’s also an accident on the outer loop of the Beltway at New Hampshire Avenue.

An accident involving a tractor trailer on I-395 North at Edsall Road is blocking the right shoulder.

6:25 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is very jammed up around Chain Bridge Road, with delays stretching back for several exits. Expect issues approaching this area.

I-395 North is also pretty slow approaching King Street.

So far:

— An accident on the Gerogetown Pike/VA 193 at River Bend Road in Great Falls is blocking the eastbound left lane.
