Keeping tabs on the Thursday A.M. traffic

8:40 A.M. Update:

The accident on Old Keene Mill Road/Route 644 at Rolling Road in West Springfield continues to block both eastbound lanes.

An accident on Dolly Madison Boulevard/VA 123 at Lynwood Hill Road in McLean is blocking the left and right center lanes.

8:20 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-270 South has been cleared and the lane reopened.

8:10 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-270 South after Fingerboard Road/MD 80 is blocking the right lane. Expect heavy delays.

7:50 A.M. Update:

An accident on Old Keene Mill Road/Route 644 at Rolling Road in West Springfield is blocking both eastbound lanes. Head south to the Franconia Springfield Parkway instead.

Northbound 295 is still slow at South Capitol Street due to an earlier accident.

A disabled vehicle on I-395 South at King Street is blocking the right shoulder.

7:45 A.M. Update:

The north gate at Walter Reed has reopened on Rockville Pike, according to police.

7:30 A.M. Update:

The north gate of Walter Reed Medical Center on the Rockville/MD 355 near Cedar Lane is closed due to police activity, according to the Montgomery County Police. Avoid the area.

7:10 A.M. Update:

I-66 East is very congested at Chain Bridge Road.

An accident on I-395 North at King Street is blocking the right shoulder, which could lead to delays there.

6:50 A.M. Update:

A disabled vehicle on I-95 North just before Woodbridge is blocking the right shoulder.

I-395 North is slowing down around Edsall Road and Duke Street. Expect those delays to worsen as the morning continues.

6:30 A.M. Update:

Faregat problems persist at Union Station. Metro reports that technicians are there working to fix the issue, but watch for delays if you’re heading to that station.

Good morning, commuters! We’ll be keeping an eye on the roads and rails this morning, reporting any delays or issues — and we will need your help. If you hear about any congestion, delays, problems or anything at all, tell us in the comments section below or by tweeting @drgridlock.

We’re in for a sunny and warm day, so it’s beginning to feel a lot like June, according to the Capital Weather Gang.

So far:

— I-95 North is pretty backed up around the Franconia-Springfild Parkway and approaching Woodbridge.
