— Independence Avenue from 6th to 12th streets SW
— C Street from 6th to 12th streets SW
— 14th and C streets NW
Watch for delays and use extra caution heading through these areas.
8:50 A.M. Update:
An accident on southbound DC-295 at Benning Road could create delays there.
8:25 A.M. Update:
Traffic lights are reportedly out on Independence Avenue SW between 7th and 12th streets. Use caution and expect delays.
A commuter reports that all traffic lights are out near L’Enfant Plaza and Jefferson Drive.
The earlier accident on southbound DC-295 has been cleared and all lanes are open again.
8:15 A.M. Update:
An accident on the outer loop before the Rockville Pike is now blocking one of the shoulders.
An accident on I-270 South between Old Hundred Road and Clarksburg Road could cause delays.
8 A.M. Update:
An accident on the outer loop of the Beltway before University Boulevard is blocking one of the shoulders.
7:50 A.M. Update:
An accident on southbound DC-295 at East Capitol Street is blocking one lane. Stay to the right and expect delays heading that way.
7:30 A.M. Update:
A disabled vehicle on the inner loop of the Beltway after I-66 is blocking the right shoulder.
7:10 A.M. Update:
A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at Arlington Boulevard is blocking the right shoulder.
The debris on the inner loop of the Beltway before New Hampshire Avenue has been cleared.
6:50 A.M. Update:
An accident on the inner loop of the Beltway at the Little River Turnpike is blocking the right shoulder.
6:35 A.M. Update:
Red Line trains are no longer single-tracking, according to Metro. The earlier problem outside Bethesda was a third rail issue. There are still some residual Red Line delays.

A disabled vehicle on northbound VA-110 at the Arlington Memorial Bridge is blocking the right shoulder.

After the gray drizzle of Tuesday, we’re in for a nicer Wednesday, according to the Capital Weather Gang. They day could start with some clouds or fog, but that should give way to sunny skies.
