Delays on I-66 East, I-95 North

8:45 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 North at Dumfries Road has been cleared and the lanes reopened. There are still very heavy delays approaching this area, with traffic easing as you get closer to Dale City. Traffic isn’t light approaching the Beltway, but it is certainly moving smoothly.

I-395 North is typically snarled approaching the 14th Street Bridge, while I-66 East is slow from Lee Jackson Highway on through to the Beltway.

The inner loop is very backed up at Georgetown Pike in Virginia, while the outer loop is pretty backed up around River Road in Maryland.

The vehicle fire on I-270 North to the north of Montrose Road has been cleared.

8:20 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-270 South at Middlebrook Road has been cleared and the lanes reopened.

There is a vehicle fire reported on I-270 North to the north of Montrose Road, so this could cause some delays there.

8 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-270 South at Middlebrook Road is blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.

The accident on I-95 North at Dumfries Road is still blocking the left lane and left shoulder.

There are pretty heavy delays on the outer loop near Telegraph Road.

7:45 A.M. Update:

The accident on I-95 North at Dumfries Road is now blocking the left lane and left shoulder.

7:20 A.M. Update:

An accident on I-95 North at Dumfries Road is blocking the left lane, center lane and left shoulder.

7 A.M. Update:

The inner loop is pretty backed up around Gallows Road.

A disabled vehicle on westbound I-66 at the Beltway is blocking the right shoulder.

6:40 A.M. Update:

The debris on the outer loop of the Beltway at Landover Road has been cleared up.

6:20 A.M. Update:

There are delays on eastbound I-66 at Chain Bridge Road right now, as well as heavy traffic on I-95 North before the Lorton area.

Some debris on the outer loop of the Beltway at Landover Road could cause delays there.
