8:35 A.M. Update:
Delays remain on I-395 North (at the 14th Street Bridge as well as King and Duke streets), I-66 East (at Chain Bridge Road) and I-95 North (approaching the Springfield Interchange).
The inner loop of the Beltway is still jammed at I-66.
A disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway is blocking one lane before the Georgia Avenue exit.
There are accidents reported at 20th and I (Eye) streets and 14th Street and Independence Avenue in Northwest Washington. Expect delays around both intersections.
8:20 A.M. Update:
There’s a disabled vehicle on the outer loop of the Beltway at Sligo Creek Parkway, blocking one lane and one of the shoulders.
7:55 A.M. Update:
Traffic signals are reportedly out at Tenley Circle and Wisconsin Avenue as well as at Wisconsin Avenue and Woodley Road in Northwest Washington.
There’s also an accident reported at Wisconsin Avenue and Lowell Street in Northwest Washington.
The delays on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge have gotten a bit worse.
The inner loop of the Beltway is pretty jammed around I-66.
7:35 A.M. Update:
There are some delays on I-395 North at the 14th Street Bridge, delays which usually get worse as the morning continues.
7:15 A.M. Update:
Traffic is slowing down on I-66 East approaching Chain Bridge Road, one of the usual morning commute trouble spots. Add that to the delays on I-95 North and I-395 North, and all is normal in Northern Virginia, which is to say the delays are in the usual areas.
6:55 A.M. Update:
I-395 North is pretty congested around Duke and King streets, while the inner loop of the Beltway is backed up at Gallows Road.
6:30 A.M. Update:
The debris on the outer loop of the Beltwy has been cleared before the Rockville Pike exit.
I-95 North is backed up approaching the Springfield Interchange and, further south, approaching the Woodbridge area.
Good morning, commuters! The week kicks off with “gorgeous” weather, according to the Capital Weather Gang. A light breeze, highs reaching 80 and a drop in the humidity — it’s a distinct improvement from the sweltering last few days.
