Man at Gallery Place station on tracks but unhurt, officials said

For those who were at Gallery Place Metro station mid-morning Friday and saw the man on the tracks. Here’s what happened:
About 10:30 a.m., a man either “jumped or fell off the platform” at the lower level of the Gallery Place station platform, Metro officials said.
Witnesses said he appeared disoriented, according to Metro spokesman Dan Stessel.
There were no trains in the area at the time, Stessel said.
Train traffic was briefly held and the power to the third rail was shut down.  Stessel said the man was “assisted back onto the platform” where Metro Transit Police and emergency rescue crews responded.
The man was transported to an area hospital. He suffered no apparent injuries, Stessel said.
