Major MARC Brunswick Line delays; Metro option opened

8:40 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line trains heading to Washington are going to be delayed 30 or more minutes due to signal problems west of Barnesville and freight traffic. Metro is honoring MARC tickets.

8:30 A.M. Update:

Brunswick Line trains are now on the move, but they are 25 to 30 minutes late, according to the Maryland Transit Administration.

8:20 A.M. Update:

More problems for MARC riders: A sewer line break between Rockville and Gaarrett Park is stopping all Brunswick Line trains until further notice. Again, Metro is accepting MARC tickets.

7:57 A.M. Update:

Due to the delays on MARC trains this morning, Metro will honor MARC tickets.

7:50 A.M. Update:

MARC Brunswick Line trains heading to Washington are now running 10 to 30 minutes late due to signal issues west of Barnesville and added freight traffic in the area.

Original Post:

There are delays on MARC’s Brunswick Line this morning stemming from signal problems just west of Barnesville. Trains are expected to be 15 to 20 minutes late departing this station.
