6:10 p.m. Update: Train 442 is reported to be on the move, running eight to 10 minutes late.

6:05 p.m. Update: Penn Line Train 442 (which was scheduled to depart Union Station at 5:50 p.m.) is stopped south of New Carrollton with a mechanical problem, the MTA said.

Original post: A MARC Penn Line train was delayed in Baltimore with mechanical problems, which may cause disruptions in service from Union Station, Wednesday night, the Maryland Transit Administration said.

Train 447 was scheduled to depart Baltimore at 5:25 p.m. However, it has been holding at Penn Station due to a mechanical problem. The MTA advised that passengers at Union Station who planned to take that train on its return trip north (scheduled for 6:40 p.m. as Train 446) may face a delayed departure of 5 to 10 minutes.

The Penn Line runs from Washington through northeastern Maryland via Baltimore.
