Meet the VRE management

Virginia Railway Express kicks off a series of early morning meet the management events on Wednesday at Fredricksburg Station.

Riders will have the opportunity to meet VRE CEO Dale Zehner, officials from CSX, which owns some of the tracks that the commuter trains run on, as well as staff from departments such as operations and fare collections.

Officials said there will be snacks and other treats as riders for all morning trains get to ask questions or discuss service.

For the past month, VRE has been holding the sessions in the evenings. The Wednesday session begins a program that will continue through the summer when passengers will get the chance to meet managers in the mornings, with sessions scheduled every week through Aug. 10. May 25 the event is scheduled for Broad Run; June 1 for Leeland Road; and June 8 at Manassas. A complete schedule is available on VRE’s Web site.
