Metro board to discuss Green Line derailment, station names on Thursday

Members of Metro’s Board of Directors are scheduled to meet Thursday, when they are expected to discuss last week’s Green Line derailment as well as guidelines for naming stations.

The board’s safety and security meeting is expected to be briefed with more details about the derailment, which led to emergency evacuation of passengers, but no reported injuries.

The customer service committee will then revisit the agency’s station naming policy, specifically with regards to commercial naming rights. The public can comment on this agenda item online.
